Gigi Ruff.....Enough Said
Revered as one of the oldest stalwarts in all of Europe, Austria's picture perfect mountains are full of hype these days. Historically, Austria has been greatly overlooked by many Europeans because of the unpredictable snowfall and relative size of the Austrian Alps. These past few years this country has been revolutionized. By building perfectly cut fun parks, adding enormous kickers, implementing crazy and original riding features, Austria has attracted a brand new clientele, Euro-youths. The newly attracted young adult community in Austria openly calls this country the freestyle capital of Europe. Of course where the younger crowds tend to flock so does the night life; Austria's inexpensive apre-skiing is rumored to be the defining factor when traveling to this country. With all kinds of terrain, short distances between mountains, and epic snowboarding, Austria will surely be out of this world.
When studying Austria's various resorts, it's been no question that St. Anton is the best resort Austria has to offer. St. Anton is easily known for the great freeriding, amazing park, and vibrant night life. Some refer to the famed Arlberg Powder as the holy grail of snowboarding, which makes this resort Austria's most popular hangout. With the neighboring peaks of Kappall, Valluga, and the Madlock Joch, it's not overly uncommon to see the likes of professional rider Gigi Ruff out shredding the off-piste with you. Additionally, the Arlberg ski pass allows us to ride some nearby resorts like St Christoph and Stuben, as well as Lech and Zürs who have great fun parks. The prospective riding and partying in St. Anton and neighboring resorts is extremely appealing. A trip to Europe just wouldn't be the same without hitting this epic destination.
